Sam graduated from St. Cloud State University and Minnesota School of Business with a B.A. in Biology and an Associates in Veterinary Technology. Before moving to Pensacola, she spent six years in Minnesota doing large animal, small animal, wildlife, and exotic medicine for both a general practice and emergency facility. Sam then moved to Texas where she worked in a general practice and an emergency facility focusing on small animal and exotic medicine. She was lucky enough to work with patients at a local Texas aquarium doing sea turtle research.
Over the years of working in veterinary medicine, she has rescued three dogs and one sneaky kitty from previous clinics and actively fosters through SRAS.
In her spare time, Sam enjoys relaxing at the beach, playing video games, working out, improving her climbing skills, and indulging in breweries with her friends.
See All Our Specialists"I had to take my boy for an ultrasound as his vet and I had exhausted every avenue of care we could come up with as he had decided not to eat, and this had gone on for two weeks.. watching him everyday, I was not expecting a good prognosis.. these folks are wonderful.. from the front desk, to the techs, to the doctor that cared for us.. having worked in the medical field serving humans, I had a sense of where this would go, and I was correct.. and although it was a difficult decision, and much conversation between his doctor and I, I came to the right decision for us. I say all this because not once did I feel rushed.. they allowed me to take as much time as I needed, to weigh the pros and cons of the options offered, the warmth and compassion they showed towards me went a long way to ease my mind.. I can’t speak highly enough of their ethic.. I’m grateful that my personal vet chose to refer me to them.."
