Dr. Eyles graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in biology and psychology before attending veterinary school at Tufts University in Grafton, Massachusetts. After graduating from Tufts in 2005, he lived in northern Vermont for three years, practicing primarily as a veterinarian for dairy cows.
His career transitioned into small animal medicine and surgery and has been focused almost entirely on emergency and critical care. He moved to Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast and joined the VERC team in 2009. When not working, he enjoys playing drums, skateboarding and playing with his three-legged rescue cat, Flower Pot.
See All Our Specialists"I am a registered nurse who has worked in healthcare over 30 years. Over half of my career i worked in critical care. The staff from front desk to veterinarians delivered compassionate, professional, expert care to my Golden Retriever Dani. I was fortunate to be able to access care credit to meet the immediate financial committment for her treatment. Diagnostic tests including labs and CT scan, chest tubes, major thoracic surgery, a week of critical care. The fact that these critical care services were available saved her life. The surgeons demonstrated exceptional skill and knowledge. I do not feel any of the cost was excessive. I do realize that many are not able or willing to pay for the needed emergency healthcare. I have been in that position myself. VERC is a business and has to run as one to stay open. Understand that does not mean that it is not difficult for staff members who work within these limitations. VERC supported the level of follow up care that was needed for my companion from August until December. This included consulting with outside veterinarians with specific specialties (infectious disease, pathology) and working with our primary care veterinarian. I would not hesitate to take any one of my canine or feline companions to VERC. Thank you to each and every one of you that assisted in Dani's care. The quality time i had with her means more than words can say."
